
Alanté Kavaïté
A graduate of the Ecole d’Art d’Avignon, Alanté Kavaïté furthered her work in image and video at ENSBA in Paris. In 2006, she directed her first feature film, “Écoute le temps (Fissures)”, with Emilie Dequenne. Her second feature, “The Summer of Sangailé”, released in cinemas in 2015 was selected in over 70 international festivals (Berlinale, Stockholm, Busan…), and received multiple awards, including the Sundance prize for direction.
Alanté Kavaïté is also co-writer of Lucile Hadzihalilovic’s “Evolution”.

In a near future… On an island cut off from the rest of the world, Gaëlle, 30, looks after a small group of elderly people. The arrival of a sailboat brings joy and life back to the island. But Gaëlle starts to doubt the travelers’ intentions, as the elderly begin to die one after the other.
