
Angela Ottobah
Angela Ottobah is a French director and screenwriter. After studying philosophy and ethnology, she went to Mozambique, where she wrote and directed her first short film. She then directed several short films and a documentary between France, Mali, and Spain, which were selected for numerous international festivals.
In 2019, she dedicated herself to Paula, her first feature film, released in France in 2023, and selected and awarded at several French and international festivals. In 2024, she began writing Bébé d’or.

Madee is the ghost of a little girl trapped in a doll’s body. She lives in Thailand and dreams of an ideal mother who will free her from her life as an object. Eugénia has just moved to the country. She is gentle, strangely calm, and deeply in love with Thai culture. So when she comes across the doll, she buys it immediately, unaware of Madee’s powerful magic. Their lives are suddenly turned upside down, for better, but mostly for worse
