Christophe Lemoine
Initially an actor and theatre director, Christophe Lemoine, now in his forties, is committed entirely to writing. At first, he wrote for the stage (theatre and café-théâtre), before writing children’s novels, comic books, and eventually for television and film. He also directed short films, including Marteau Ciseaux in 2010, which was selected at the Clermont-Ferrand shorts festival.
In 2012, he participated in the Annual Selection as a co-writer with Martin Le Gall on the project Bigoudène.
Bigoudène
Annual Selection 2012
Brittany, Pays Bigouden, early 20th century. Every morning, the old and nearly blind embroiderer Laouig Jegu, goes to pray at the village chapel, accompanied by his sister. One day, making the sign of the cross at the holy water font, shocked he sees his hands bloodied by the stigmata of Christ ! Four marks appear, reddening the water in the font. A miracle ? A supernatural phenomenon ? The parish priest immediately reports the event to the highest ranks of the Church, and an investigator, Mathieu Orfila, is sent by the Vatican. Marie, the priest’s young maid, assists him in his inquiry. A miracle ? A hoax ? The truth may be even more astonishing.
