Élodie Lélu
Elodie Lélu was born in Brittany in 1982. After studying Art History in Paris, she joined INSAS and moved to Belgium. She began by making documentary films before transitioning to fiction, where she strives to blend drama and comedy. Her first short film, Leçons de conduite, starring Pauline Étienne, addresses the topic of abortion in a lighthearted and unconventional way. It received several international awards (Valladolid, Vancouver Women’s Film Festival, Larissa, etc.).
Developed as part of the 2012 Annual Selection, her first feature-length fiction film, Colocs de choc (formerly Mamie Alzhie and C’est de famille !), humorously explores Alzheimer’s disease and its ability to bring the past back to life. This project also allows Elodie to revisit and challenge her favorite theme: feminism.

Annual Selection 2012
Manon, a reserved 16-year-old teenager, is forced to live with her grandmother Yvonne, a former feminist activist with Alzheimer’s. Things become complicated when Yvonne starts mistaking Manon for her daughter. Manon plays along with Yvonne’s delusions and takes on the role of the mother she barely knew. Through this experience, she discovers the true story of the women in her family and learns, in turn, what it means to become one.
