1954. Unwillingly engaged to Saïd, a soldier in French Algeria, Assia leads a double life; unbeknown to her family, she is a liaison officer for the FLN. Her encounter with Peter, an American with unclear motives who has come to carry out archaeological research in the country, upsets this delicate balance. As the love triangle evolves, the land of Algeria rumbles and prepares for a revolution. MOON RIVER paints an uncompromising portrait of a woman ready to do anything for the independence of her country and her very existence.
