Joffrey Monteiro-Noël
Joffrey Monteiro-Noël is a writer-director whose work focuses on the role of the body in society—a body as a flexible shell, both suffering and reacting. Years of theatre training shaped his taste for bold staging and striking visual forms. Inspired by fairy tales, he enjoys taking the audience into worlds on the fringes of reality. After directing several short films, including Mange (OCS) and L’Appel, co-written with Raphaël Thet, Joffrey continues this collaboration with the co-writing of L’Enfant doré, his first feature film.
He is also the creator of FAKE, an 8×52’ series currently in development.

A long time ago, in an isolated land…
La Pierre, an intersex child, is rejected by everyone due to his difference. One day, he is chosen as a model by Jonas, a perfectionist sculptor who sees him as an ideal being. He then moves into the castle where the artist lives with his twin sister, Diane, who is mourning her daughter. From then on, La Pierre does everything he can to be accepted by living up to the expectations of these adults blinded by their own fascination. But as he enters puberty, he has no choice but to listen to his body…
