Jonathan Millet

After studying philosophy, Jonathan Millet spent several years filming remote regions of the world alone for image databases. He then directed six fiction short films, including Et Toujours Nous Marcherons, which was nominated for the César Awards in 2018, and La Veillée, a medium-length film released in cinemas in 2018.

At the same time, he has worked on documentaries exploring themes of territory and solitude, such as Ceuta, douce prison (released in theaters in 2014), Dernières Nouvelles des Étoiles (shot in Antarctica, 2017), and La Disparition (shot in the Amazon, 2021).

In 2021, Jonathan received support from Groupe Ouest for the development of his first fiction feature film.

I wanted to be shaken up, and I feel it saves time. In other words, it's better to be extremely pushed around for a week by consultants and the seven other participants, because those weeks are normally worth three months on your own. Basically, the more the weeks spent at Groupe Ouest seem full of inner turmoil, the more time you've saved, because this turmoil will be distilled over long periods...
