
Léa Triboulet
Born in Montpellier and now based in the South of France, Léa Triboulet is a director and screenwriter.
After graduating with a Master’s degree in scenography with honors from the École Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Strasbourg, she joined the international Film Factory program led by the Hungarian director Béla Tarr in Sarajevo (Bosnia-Herzegovina) in 2013. She is a laureate of the SACD-Beaumarchais, the Marcel Bleustein-Blanchet Foundation for Vocation and an alumna of the European Short Pitch, Le Clos and Pustnik programs. In 2017, she presented her short film “The Brother” (CNC Quality Award) at the International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR). She has directed several short films selected in numerous international festivals, including Clermont-Ferrand, Montréal Nouveau Cinéma, Uppsala, Leeds, Hamburg, Sarajevo FF, Sarasota FF, New Orleans, Tallinn Black Nights FF…
She’s developing a feature film “J’irai boire avec les abeilles”, winner of Groupe Ouest’s 2017 Annual Selection.

It’s the end of summer holidays. Aurora, 15, goes to spend the rest of the summer with her Aunt Lou while her father goes back to work. In this small mountain town, Aurora is overwhelmed by the truth of her mother’s death, the woman she’s constantly identified with. Lou is also suffering from a toxic relationship with her aggressive partner, Jean. She establishes a relationship with the bees and Paul, a young beekeeper who has come with his sister to move the hives from the valley, Aurora questions her relationship with suffering, desire and her own freedom.
