Linda Olte

Linda Olte is a Latvian director, writer, and editor. After many years at Latvian National Television, where she worked on numerous successful programs, documentaries, and the series, she collaborated with several film studios as both a director and editor. Her work on the documentary “My Father the Banker” (2015) earned her a National Film Award for Best Editing. Linda’s debut feature, “Sisters” (2022), premiered at the Warsaw International Film Festival, winning the Best Film award in the First or Second Feature Competition and the International FIPRESCI Jury Award. “Sisters” has been screened at over a dozen festivals worldwide and has received multiple awards. In 2023, Linda received the Latvian National Film Award for Best Director.

In her films, Linda prioritizes humanity in her characters, focusing on sensitive yet socially responsible storytelling. She is currently in production for her second feature film “The Child.”
