
Nolwenn Lemesle
After studying Performing Arts at university and earning a master’s degree in cinema with a specialization in screenwriting, Nolwenn Lemesle wrote and directed her first short film, Poids Plume, with the G.R.E.C in 2005. Two years later, she followed up with Sid, produced by Paris-Brest Productions & Gloria Films. Nolwenn also collaborates on projects by other filmmakers as a writer or consultant. She contributed to the screenplay of the feature film Par suite d’un arrêt de travail…, directed by Frédéric Andréi and has co-written with other writer-directors. Her first feature film as a writer-director, Des morceaux de moi, starring Adèle Exarchopoulos, Zabou Breitman, and Tchéky Karyo, was released in 2013 and won the Bayard d’Or for Best First Film at the Namur International Festival of Francophone Film. In 2020, she directed a standalone film for Arte, Les Héritières, starring Tracy Gotoas, Déborah François, and Fanta Kébé, written by Laure-Élisabeth Bourdaud and Johanna Goldschmidt. Later that year, Nolwenn filmed Mauvaise troupe, a short film she co-wrote with Ronan Bertrand.
In 2018, she participated in the Annual Selection for the development of her feature film Guerrière.

Louise, an emergency doctor, raises her 12-year-old daughter, Sasha, alone. She is preparing to start a new life with Malik, a divorced father, when Sasha becomes the sole witness to a brutal political assassination. Only she can help the police track down the mastermind behind the attack. But the murderers saw her too.
