Animus

LIM | Less is More 2017

Animus is a story about a young bisexual man, Peter, who struggles with his own sexuality in the wake of becoming a father for the first time. He spends the last month before the delivery with his pregnant girlfriend Marta in their cottage situated in a thick forest, close to the lake. Overwhelmed by hormones, Marta is totally focused on her pregnancy. She meets regularly with her close circle of girlfriends to explore her femininity and connection with the nature. Peter feels left out, loosing contact with his girlfriend. An incidental visit with Marta at a gay nudist beach awakens his inner demons. He secretly explores his sexuality, becoming more and more addicted to websites offering cyber sex with random guys all over the world. He finds this fascinating but at the same time it creates a feeling of disgust. He becomes obsessed with gay sex, looking for all sorts of stimulus to rid him of his sexual energy. He starts to notice an unsettling and threatening atmosphere in the surrounding nature. Soon, he realizes that the area is inhabited by ancient demons, who are now starting to awake.
