Camping du lac

Eléonore Saintagnan

In the Summer of 2022, the director Eléonore Saintagnan shot her new film in Brittany, “Camping du lac” (then entitled “Le Fléau”). The film was backed by the Centre du Cinéma de la Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles with the limited budget fund. This is how Eléonore Saintagnan came to take part in Groupe Ouest Développement workshop – Scénario : puissance & âme – for “Camping du lac”.

Synopsis

Éléonore drove west to escape her city life. She breaks down in the middle of “Kreiz Breizh” (center of Brittany), in a village that bears her last name. She thinks it’s a sign. She rents a bungalow there, in a campsite overlooking the lake.
The places bring back memories of her childhood. As a child, she spent her holidays in a similar place. Through a walk in these isolated places and to meet its inhabitants, from mobile home to mobile home, she observes the present, convokes the past and lets herself be invaded by fiction.
