Synopsis

Yvonne Nguyen, a young actress of Vietnamese origin, dreams of succeeding in the musical, much to the chagrin of her mother who would like to see her follow a more viable path, like marrying a doctor, preferably Vietnamese. Because a Vietnamese woman in a musical is like an elephant making nems. It doesn’t exist.
