Synopsis

Yvonne Nguyen, a young woman of Vietnamese origin, dreams of a career in musical comedy, much to the dismay of her mother, who would prefer to see her take over her restaurant in the suburbs. Will the intimacy of the kitchen, between family dishes and traditional recipes, finally enable them to communicate, understand and accept each other?
