Je ne veux pas être paysan
Tangui Le Cras & Anne Paschetta
In “I don’t want to be a farmer”, Breton director Tangui Le Cras questions his father’s choice to remain on the farm to work on his land. Produced by Jean-François Le Corre (Vivement Lundi, Rennes), the film was shot in spring and summer 2017 in Centre-Bretagne.
After a first workshop at Le Groupe Ouest in partnership with Films en Bretagne in 2013, Tangui Le Cras participated in 2014 in the Dramaturgy & Documentary workshop, coached by script-consultants Gaëlle Douel and Séverine Vermesch. These sessions were organised by Groupe Ouest Développement in partnership with Ty Films in Mellionnec (Center Brittany).
“I met the scriptwriter Anne Paschetta, who helped me out of my writer’s block and became my co-writer. The DOP, Guillaume Kozakiewiez joined us and introduced us to Jean-François Le Corre, producer at Vivement Lundi… and from there “Je ne veux pas être paysan” took a completely different direction,” Tangui Le Cras told Télérama.
