Stelo

The ESTRAN scheme, backed by Films en Bretagne in 2019, has enabled writers to complete their first or second short fiction film projects, hand in hand with young producers from Brittany who guide them through the process.
The four laureates benefited from a first work session, organised in partnership with Groupe Ouest Développement, in Brest in January 2019. The writers worked on their scripts with consultants Yacine Badday and Christophe Lemoine. The second session, dedicated to production, was held in March in Rennes.
For “Stelo” by Pierre-Alphonse Hamann, Breton technicians and actors collaborated in the filming which took place from 8 to 10 January 2020 in Quimper, in the former Banque de France hotel.

Synopsis

The 1980s. Gabin, Austin, McQueen, and Lumière are on the verge of pulling off the heist of the century, but a flaw in the preparation turns things upside down.
