“Suite Armoricaine”, Pascale Breton’s second feature film, was backed by Breizh Film for its distribution, the endowment fund created by Le Groupe Ouest to help independent cinema written, produced, shot or distributed in Brittany. As part of their aid, the distributor Météore Films tested with a regional pre-release in Brittany, a week before its national release.
“Suite Armoricaine” was awarded the Fipresci Prize at the 2015 Locarno Film Festival, and was selected for the 2015 Seville Film Festival and the 2016 Rotterdam International Film Festival.
It features Valérie Dréville, Kaou Langoët and Elina Löwensohn.
Synopsis
A year at university in Rennes, as it is experienced by two characters whose paths cross: Françoise, an art history teacher, and Ion, a geography student. Too busy fleeing from their respective ghosts, they are unaware that they share a past.
