A European Laboratory
for collaborations in Series creation
In 2022 / 2023, responding to an impulse by the European Commission, Le Groupe Ouest team joined forces with Vision Denmark for the launching of European Writers Club (EWC), the new hub for Series creation in Europe. Its aim is to boost European creative collaborations for Series projects, putting together creators, screenwriters, producers and broadcasters from all over Europe.
Le Groupe Ouest brings to the table its past fifteen years of methodological research in the creation of writing room strategies, combining inputs from cognitive sciences and the concrete results of fruitful experiences all over Europe around the concept of prewriting tools. From these years of experiences around Series concept acceleration hand in hand with the best writers, producers and broadcasters in Europe, Le Groupe Ouest & EWC have generated an innovative approach towards Series creation in Europe, generating a flow of new Series projects signed by key European producers and broadcasters.
In 2024, the Season 2 of EWC is going to reach a new level.
Structured as a real laboratory around Series projects – based on true events with a strong potential impact on a European audience – it will be dedicated to the generation of collaborative tools. To help combine the highest level of journalism or scientific research and the best creators, screenwriters and producers for Series, working hand in hand with broadcasters from all over Europe.
