Films accompanied by Le Groupe Ouest on the Croisette!

The 76th Cannes Film Festival will take place from 16 to 27 May 2023.
Among the films selected, in the section Un Certain Regard, are RIEN À PERDRE and ROSALIE!
Delphine Deloget took part in Le Groupe Ouest’s Annual Selection for the development of RIEN À PERDRE and, Sandrine Le Coustumer & Alexandra Echkenazi in the workshop Scénario : puissance & âme by Groupe Ouest Développement, for ROSALIE directed by Stéphanie Di Giusto.
Nominated at Cannes’ Critics’ Week, the films TIGER STRIPES and IL PLEUT DANS LA MAISON (It’s raining in the house) both awarded!
TIGER STRIPES won the Grand Prize of the Critics’ Week, while IL PLEUT DANS LA MAISON received the French Touch Prize of the Jury.
Directed by Malaysian Amanda Nell Eu, the Grand Prize of the Critics’ Week, TIGER STRIPES, has been developed within the framework of LIM | Less is More, the European programme lead by Le Groupe Ouest.
For her film IL PLEUT DANS LA MAISON, winner of the French Touch Prize of the Jury, the Belgian director Paloma Sermon-Daï took part in the workshop Scénario : puissance & âme of Groupe Ouest Développement, as the film benefited from the support of the Centre of Cinema of Wallonie-Bruxelles Federation, a partner of Le Groupe Ouest.

In addition, Dania Bdeir is selected in La Fabrique Cinéma of the Institut français 2023 with her feature film project PIGEON WARS, co-written with Bane Fakih and developed as part of the Le Groupe Ouest’s Annual Selection.
La Fabrique Cinéma’s program, held as part of the Cannes Film Festival, aims to identify and promote filmmakers and producers from Southern and emerging countries, as well as to support the development of their projects in collaboration with the Festival and the Film Market.

The 4 Ukrainian films supported by LIM in Cannes’ Marché du Film
In partnership with the European Solidarity Fund for Ukrainian Films, CNC, EFAD Association, Göteborg Film Fund, Institut Français, LIM | Less is More, Movies that Matter, Tatino Films and Ukrainian Institute, the Marché du Film will host a pitching session to present ten Ukrainian feature film projects in development to potential co-producers, and financiers. The projects have been selected in collaboration with Göteborg Film Fund, LIM | Less is More and Pop Up Film Residency. One of the projects selected will be awarded a prize given by the Pop Up Film Residency!
