Sun Mee Cattrysse

Sun Mee Cattrysse, a dedicated storyteller and bridge-builder, is currently immersed in the world of filmmaking, commuting between Bruges and Brussels.

FILM

With a Master’s degree in Audiovisual Arts from the RITCS (Royal Institute for Theatre, Cinema, and Sound) in Brussels, Sun Mee’s talent shone brightly as she won a VAF Wildcard for Best Feature Film Scenario with her graduation project in 2020.
Collaborating with renowned screenwriter-director Hyun Lories, she receives support from the Flanders Audiovisual Fund and actively participates in coaching programs like LIM | Less is More in partnership with Le Groupe Ouest – Brittany. Additionally, as a guest lecturer at RITCS, Sun Mee shares her storytelling passion with future filmmakers.

FASHION, DANCE, MUSIC, THEATER

Sun Mee’s artistic journey traverses through fashion, dance, music, and theater. While Sun Mee’s heart lies in filmmaking, her creative spirit extends to the world of fashion through her design for her own boutique renowned for its luxurious, handmade lingerie. With a background in classical guitar and a Bachelor’s Degree in Social-Cultural Work, she interned at Jeugdtheater De Kopergietery, contributing to youth cultural participation programs like Kunstbende (www.kunstbende.be) in Flanders.

Sun Mee’s work reflects her deep social consciousness, echoing the themes of grief, abandonment, and solidarity with vulnerable communities.
