Sélection Annuelle 2024

2027. In the midst of an election campaign, Thérèse convinces her neighbor Bernard to take over the leadership of GAD (Groupe Action Défense), a small group dedicated to the reconquest of France. Bernard accepts, convinced that this heroic mission will also win back the heart of Chantal, his wife. A master of rhetoric and the art of barbecuing, Bernard surrounds himself with frustrated but socially-integrated men who are receptive to his virile speeches, written by Thérèse. Thanks to tutorials found on the Internet, the GAD builds up an arsenal of cheap, ready-to-use weapons. Under the pretext of maintaining order, GAD frightens, terrorizes and sows chaos. Setting fire to a dry part of the region while training to throw grenades, GAD was spotted by Jordy, a local member of the PDF (Parti De France). Bernard dreams of a political destiny and declares himself ready to lay down his arms, while Thérèse plots a false-flag attack that would trigger civil war.
